About Apixstar
Apixstar is a read-only API for public Reddit data. It is built and run by the team behind Bavior, a product that helps companies grow on Reddit.
Why we built it
Bavior needs Reddit data all day: community listings, threads, search results. We built a pipeline to get that data reliably, because our own product stops working without it.
Apixstar opens that same pipeline to other developers. Your requests take the route our production traffic takes. That is the reason we can say we care about uptime: an outage for you is an outage for us.
What we do, and what we do not
- One platform. We only do Reddit. If you need other networks, a multi-platform provider will suit you better.
- Read-only. We return public listings, threads, profiles and search. We do not post, vote or send messages, and we never ask for your Reddit password.
- Pay for results. A request that fails is not charged.
- Independent. Apixstar is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Reddit, Inc.
Using the data responsibly
Public does not mean anything goes. Our Terms of Service forbid using the data to harass, surveil, re-identify or profile people. If you are a Reddit user and want your content to stop being served through Apixstar, the Privacy Policy explains how to ask.
