Pricing questions

What counts as one request?

Reading a post with its comments, a single comment or a user profile is one request and costs $0.0007. A listing or search costs $0.0007 for every 10 results it returns, rounded up per page.

How much is a page of 100 results?

$0.007. That is ten units at $0.0007 each. A page of 10 results or fewer costs $0.0007.

When am I not charged?

Whenever a request fails or returns nothing. Invalid or revoked keys, an empty balance, an unsupported path, hitting your rate limit, a timeout, any upstream Reddit error and empty pages all cost nothing. The maximum cost is reserved when the request starts, and you are charged only for what comes back.

Am I charged for the limit I ask for or for what I get?

For what you get. If you ask for 100 results and 34 come back, you pay for 34, which is $0.0028.

Does my balance expire?

No. Funds stay on your account while it is open and in good standing.

Is there a discount for large purchases?

Yes. A single top-up of $500 or more gets 30% off, which is $0.00049 per request. A single top-up of $5,000 or more gets 50% off, which is $0.00035 per request. Email us to arrange it.

Is there a subscription?

No. Top-ups are one-time payments. Nothing renews automatically, and you add funds again when you want more.

How do rate limits relate to top-ups?

Every account gets 30 requests per second, regardless of top-up amount. Requests over the limit are rejected and not charged.

How do I pay?

By card on a checkout page run by Waffo Pancake, our merchant of record. It is a one-time payment with no subscription, tax is added at checkout where it applies, and the charge shows as WAFFO on your statement. Funds arrive as soon as payment is confirmed.

Can I get a refund?

Yes, within 14 days if none of the funds from that top-up have been used, and for duplicate or unauthorized charges. The Terms of Service has the details.
